Synopsis
‘Hyem’ (colloquial for home) is a commentary on the state of the nation, and an attempt to serve commonality in the face of division.
Mack, a man left behind by the decline of industry is the sole carer for his mother. In his endeavour to make ends meet, his moral compass is brought into question when he meets a young Eritrean girl, whose humanity forces him to reconsider his world view.
